To setup a valheim server manually for a dedicated server from scratch here is the following steps

Windows

Created a folder where you wish to install valheim dedicated server
Download SteamCMD or use the copy in servers folder which also includes the bat files needed below for valheim, palworld and unturned. If its been some time between hosting worlds make sure to run the valheim updater in main steamCMD folder. World Download (for backups) can be found in appdata under locallow IronGate folder.
Use this bat file for installing/updating the server here ?...also the "\path\to\valhiem\folder" needs to be correctly configured

Run as Administrator and game files will be downloaded to path provided above.

Once the server files have been downloaded they can be configured using the following steps (in windows)

Download the batch file here ? to link to C:/Server/Apach24/htdocs/wondertainment/Main/Wiki/ref/startserver.txt named startserver.bat in your valheim server folder

run as administrator (also be sure to open UDP ports 2456 (game port) and 2457 (steam query port)
