CowPlant
The Cowplant in The Sims 4 is one of the most unique plants in the entire game. When fully grown, it becomes a sentient creature that requires daily nourishment in order for it to thrive. Unlike other plants, the Cowplant will become aggressive if not fed every twelve hours and will sometimes attempt to eat Sims if it's hungry.
Before players can grow a Cowplant in The Sims 4, they must first find a Cowplant Berry and plant it. After a few days, the Cowplant Berry will grow into a Cowplant, and players will need to start caring for it immediately. There are five ways to acquire Cowplant Berries, but some methods are easier than others.
Aquiring a Cowplant Berry
The Cowplant Berry can be gotten in at least 5 different in-game ways:
This method of acquiring a Cowplant Berry is technically easier than the other methods, but since it requires a Sim to complete the Gardening aspiration first, it can take an extremely long time to unlock. That, and the fact that Sims can grow Cowplants when they reach Level 5 of the Gardening Skill, makes this method a bit redundant.
What Does The Cow Plant Do?
As mentioned above, when fully grown, the Cowplant must be fed every twelve in-game hours; otherwise, it will begin to hunger for the player's Sims. If this happens it will attempt to lure Sims with its cake-shaped tongue, encouraging them to take a bite. If players aren't paying attention, there is a high possibility that their Sim will try to eat the cake on their own, prompting the Cowplant to eat them.
If players are lucky, the Cowplant will spit their Sim back out; if not, there is a chance that the Sim might die. If this happens, the Grim Reaper will appear, giving players a chance to plead for their Sim's life before they are taken from the world. Owning a Cowplant isn't all doom and gloom; however, it can actually be a pretty neat addition to one's home, but only if players take care of it. So long as it is fed every twelve hours, it won't cause any trouble, and players will be able to perform some pretty adorable interactions by clicking on it. However, if players fail to feed their Cowplant for twenty-four hours, it will die, leaving only a skeleton behind, so it's important to cater to the creature's needs at least once a day. The Cowplant can also be milked after it has consumed a Sim. If the Sim died after being eaten, players can milk the Cowplant to acquire an Essence of Life potion that, when drunk, will partially increase the drinker's lifespan; if the Sim was regurgitated, the potion it produces will place whoever drinks it in the same mood the ingested Sim was in before they were swallowed.
